Top tips for finding cheap flights to South Korea

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest South Korea flight deals.
  • South Korea has a number of international airports that provide onward connections to other destinations. Incheon International Airport (INC) in Seoul, in the north of the country, is a good hub if you want to explore the northern region and has many domestic connections to the rest of South Korea. You might consider flights into Busan if you are planning to visit the southern regions of South Korea.
  • If you are looking at flights to South Korea so you can visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Jeju Volcanic Island, you should consider booking a flight to Seoul and then making an onward booking to Jeju International Airport (CJU), which is located on the island. You can then make your way into the Hallasan National Park by road to explore the volcano.
  • If you plan to hire a car, it is important to note that Korean law has made it mandatory for children under the age of 6 to use a child car seat – this seat can be hired with your car or you can travel with your own. If you plan to take a taxi from the airport, there are certain taxis that will have child car seats, but this is not true for all of them, so you may wish to travel with you own seat for safety reasons.
  • There are ATMs and bureau de change counters at the main airports in South Korea, so you will be able to obtain your local currency upon arrival in the country. Most taxis in the Seoul area will accept major credit cards, so you do not need cash to take a taxi from the airport to your accommodation. However, if you are travelling outside the main hubs via road, you may need cash to pay for taxis.

  • A very popular destination in South Korea is Seoul. Visitors head to Seoul to experience over 500 years of Korean tradition, at places like Gyeongbokgung, Deoksugung and Gyeonghuigung. To explore this region, fly into Incheon International Airport (ICN). Frequent flights from London leave from London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
  • When flying to South Korea, you may need to buy a local sim card when you arrive. Look for providers such as KT and SKT in the duty-free areas. Sim cards are cheap and essential for local apps to get around the country and to find places to eat, accommodation and local attractions.
  • An easy way to get around South Korea is via public transport. At most arrival airports in South Korea, there are bus, rail and taxi options. At Incheon International Airport (ICN), the train station is in T1 and has an express train service. The bus station is in T2. The delay in Korea was a pain and set us back a day. I have to give big props to Korean Air for setting up a hotel with dinner and transportation to and from the hotel. I also needed assistance with a wheelchair and they did an outstanding job.

The food on this flight from NRT to ICN was average. The staff were very friendly, but the flight took about 60 minutes longer than it should have because the pilot was only flying at 330mph instead of 500-550. Not sure what the reason is for that, but it meant for a much longer flight.

Flight delayed going to Korea. No free WiFi. Other than that everything else is were good. I would love to fly with Korea airline again

Food choice could be better, plus the crew can walk around and offer snacks and drinks. Also the air-conditioning onboard blows high speed, and very cold makes the trip uncomfortable.

long flights are difficult but the crew and amenities made it a very good experience

Always have great flight experience on Korean Air. Glad to have been able to book this on Kayak/Under Pricer this year!!

An International flight from Cebu to Incheon was delayed the night before without a proper explanation. Same thing happened from Incheon to Cebu in the first leg. I will not fly Korean again. And I will ensure Delta their US partner hears about it. This is a routine by Korean to delay flights from and to Cebu via Incheon.

When I selected my seats, it showed row 29 as the front row, so I paid extra to sit in what I thought would be the front row, but when I boarded the plane, row 29 was the second economy row. I was disappointed that I'd spent almost $100 more for no actual benefit.

The food is always good and that flight was particularly good.

Unlimited drinks and snacks on this long flight. Very courteous Korean staff !!!

It was amazing. I was not expecting the phenomenal customer service Asiana provides.

It was all perfect and very pleasant for such long flights

The seats felt very small. We were supplied with pillows and blankets, which was nice. Lots of noise from the bathroom, plus exterior noise. Made it hard to hear the entertainment system, even using my own noise-cancelling headphones. The food was really bad. I generally request a vegetarian meal and one was supplied, but the pasta was cold and hard and there was nothing pleasant about it. Two meals were served on this flight; one was a repeat of the meal I had had on the flight immediately preceding this one, which was bad enough I didn't even try it. Drinks were very limited. All I wanted was water, and on a 10.5 hour flight, I was given 3 cups of about 3 ounces each.

Everything was perfect. A flight attendant even brought me snacks after I declined food due to my desire to force myself to follow the destination time zone.

For the most part, it was an enjoyable experience. It's the 2nd half of the journey was a bit uncomfortable. It was on a noticable smaller plane compared to the previous one.

Only process that my luggage didn’t make it to my destination because of short connection but I understand

The boarding process was good. The toilet could be better maintained.

This has been the worst experience I've ever had. We arrived to Ho Chi Minh Airport and were supposed to get our Asiana ticket from the transfer counter as we came with a different airline. However, the staff at the transfer counter were not helpful and kept giving us different information. We were first told by Asiana airlines staff we had to wait 2 hours so they could print out and give us our tickets, then someone else told us we had to wait 3hrs, someone told us "I don't know, just go sit and wait and we will tell you later." This was at a place in the Ho Chi Minh airport that had no coffee or food shops, nothing, just immigration (to enter Vietnam with a Vietnam Visa) and security (to transfer into the gates) but we needed our printed boarding pass to go through. It wasn't until we demanded to speak to a supervisor as our flight time was 1hr away because they kept telling us "there's alot of time left for your international flight, we will get your tickets later" we still had to wait around 20minutes for the "Supervisor" to give us our tickets. I would NOT recommend Asiana Airlines, especially if going thru Ho Chi Minh Airport as they are not helpful. (We almost missed our flight, due to their lazyness and incompetence of printing our tickets) I would suggest Asiana Airlines to have a Machine in the transfer area so passengers can easily print out their boarding passes themselves and save some money by not hiring incompetent staff that can't do a simple task such as printing a boarding pass.

Great service. They could offer vegetarian food and do more to reduce waste.

Flight was on time. My group paid for seat’s so that us four can be seated next to each other. We all got separated. We all got middle seats, which made it more difficult to be able to get up and stretch or use the restroom. We tried talking to the employees at China Eastern and they were of no help. We will not be taking this flight or recommend this route to others in the future. Also I will be contacting customer service on how I can get our money back for paying for assigned seats.

China eastern was fantastic. I had read so many bad reviews that had made me nervous. However, I found that the flight attendant’s, and customer service check in etc. etc. was excellent. I had no problems. I would fly with them again!

Excellent! I had read some negative reviews but I found out that it was not all was not true! The staff was courteous and helpful. The flight take off and landing was nice & easy. The food was good! I asked for a second and I got it easily and without an attitude! All was wonderful!

Excellent experience however older aeroplanes used by China Eastern Airlines.

The crew were excellent, service amazing, blankets and pillow good, cabin temperature perfect, the flight on time, food was unusual selection however plentiful, price for tickets unbeatable through Kayak. Older aeroplanes used by China Eastern was the only down side.

Delay in off-boarding due to customs at SFO... pilot announcement should have come earlier so passengers don't clog aisles.

Better good than most, if not all European airlines. If you’re stuck in an economy seat anyways, China Eastern is a good choice because of shorter flight time, being able to overfly Russia

The temperature of the plane cabin is too hot. Sweat and uncomfortable. Also my food tray was broken down drinks fall off

Reasonable. What they offer during the flight is not great, but the crew is polite and try to compensate it.

Price is the main attraction. Staff is OK but difficult to communicate with them due to general lack of English. Food is truly abysmal, the main courses (4) were barely edible. The choices for breakfast served at 5:30 am prior to landing at Gatwick airport were Spaghetti Bolognese or seafood fried rice. Choices offered for all 4 mains were either something rice or noodles. Shanghai airport layover is much too long in a very poorly serviced airport. We were unable to use WiFi; private lounges required cash only payment with no ATM or cash exchange open.

Communication between the captain/crew and the passengers needs to be improved.

Food and service are good. Bathroom was lack of lotions and cleaning. That should be improved.

Food & service very good next I will pick up again

Chinese flight attendants didn't speak english well. They didn't care enough to remember that I (east asian who isn't Chinese) wasn't Chinese and spoke English. Announcement in english on board was poor and I find it very difficult to understand what was announced. Also, a cabin bag allows only 5kg!

Everything was not satisfactory - the flight was delayed, staffs were ok but they didn't speak English well. I am from east Asia (not Chinese) and they didn't care enough to remember that I wasn't Chinese but persistently spoke chinese to me. The flight announcement in english wasn't clear to understand.

I wish I had been able to choose a vegetarian meal. Crew friendly and helpful. Seat was ok. All quite efficient and pleasant. Would recommend for inner China travel for sure.

The flight is not bad, but the Business Lounge is not big enough for the quantity of people they accept and there is a limited options for food and beverages.

It was simply bad and on top of that my luggage hasn't been delivered until now. They can't even localize it which is just unacceptable when they are supposed to scan the bar code they put when we check in

We bought premium Economy, thinking it would be more comfortable, but the seat is so narrow ,that my legs and feet are swollen , I can't wear shoes !

The flight was delayed by an hour. Made the connection uncomfortably tight.

When we went to the lounge they told us to go into the main lounge and not the full business class section, later they told me that Lufthansa wont pay the full fee to alloq the business class passengers entry to the nicer sectikn where all the other airlines nusiness class passengers go into. Very poor arrangement.

Not what I expected for the last leg of a $5100 business class experience. Boarding was a nightmare. The flight was delayed and I had to keep checking my email to ensure I was at the right gate since the airline or the terminal had no clue until 15 mins prior to boarding. Food was gross, limited drink options.

Flights scheduled with impossible connections - Lufthansa apparently believes it takes 7mins to change terminals, go through passport control, re-clear security and walk 1.8kms…..and everything will work perfectly (which it never does at Frankfurt). No staff on hand to assist with transfers on delayed flights. No transfer guidance provided by app. No compensation offered for 6hr delay to connecting flight.

Entertainment was good. Food was mediocre. Service was mediocre. New plane was smooth

Crew were friendly and very helpful Plane was clean and the legroom is standard. Overall a good flight, no complaints.

Flight was late, with scheduled 50 min layover at Frankfurt. Arrived at gate A54, had to get to B5. We now had 35 min layover with delay, at top speed it took 30 min to get to B5 hot and bothered. Not good. Boarding in Lyon was normal chaos, shoving, and total disrespect for anyone beyond group 2. Boarding for Milan flight was more civilized as we all had to take a bus to plane.

Delayed take off but I think they waited for passengers.

I missed my flight because previous flights came in late. Customer service hard to find and could not reschedule for the same day. Many people appeared to be behind the customer service counter, but only one or two willing to speak to the public. No offer to find alternatives My experience frustrating Very bad
