FAQs - booking Florida Keys flights

  • Which airports do I choose for booking a flight to Florida Keys from Scotland?

There are no direct flights to Florida Keys or other nearby airports from Scotland. Travellers will thus have to reckon with a flight with two stopovers – most likely one in London and one in Miami. The best airport in London for a stopover is London Heathrow (LHR), because it’s the one with the most routes from Scotland: you can directly fly from Aberdeen (ABZ), Inverness (INV), Edinburgh (EDI), or Glasgow (GLA). The second stopover on this route will probably be Miami International, followed by a short connecting flight (55min) to Key West International Airport.

  • Which cities in England can I fly directly to Florida Keys from?

There are no direct flights to Florida Keys from England, but there are direct flights to Miami International, which is the closest international airport. If you want more options when it comes to airlines, search for a flight to Florida Keys that departs from London Heathrow.

  • Which airports are best for a flight to Florida Keys from Northern Ireland?

Passengers travelling to Florida Keys from Northern Ireland need to factor in a first stopover in London Heathrow or London Gatwick. Heathrow has the most options when it comes to airlines serving Florida, and both Aer Lingus and British Airways operate direct flights here from George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD). If you prefer to fly out of Belfast International Airport (BFS), easyJet operates direct flights to London Gatwick, but keep in mind that here you'll have fewer options for airlines when it comes to your connecting flight to Florida.

  • Which airports should I choose for a flight to Florida Keys with a stopover in Orlando?

Orlando International Airport (MCO) has connecting flights to Key West International, operated by regional airline Silver Airways. Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, and Norwegian operate regular flights from London Gatwick to Orlando International Airport. If you’re flying from other airports in the United Kingdom, there are seasonal flights from Glasgow, Belfast International Airport, and Manchester International Airport (MAN).

Boarding uncomfortable. Stewardess said I would have to check my carry on as there was no room in the overhead bins. Another passenger helped me find a spot.

Boarding uncomfortable. Stewardess said I would have to check my carry on as there was no room in the overhead bins. Another passenger helped me find a spot.

Any flight that lands safely is a good flight. However our leg from Helsinki was delayed 1 hour with no explanation. The delay would not allow us to make our connection to Cincinnati. I was informed by American Airlines that our Cincinnati flight was rescheduled for the following day. I immediately made a non refundable hotel reservation in Dallas. Upon exiting the plane at Dallas I was given a hotel voucher. Nice, but I can't get a refund on the hotel I booked. A little communication would have been helpful. Food on Finnair is below quality of Korean Air.

The cabin crew really looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. They weren't really interested in providing an attentive service to full fare paying passengers at all. However the Captiain's in flight announcements were relaxed and very entertaining.

Crew were professional and responsive. Food was mediocre and breakfast could do with revampinmg

Food was very ordinary for premium economy, very small portions.

i dont know WHY they call it business class. the seats are NOT significantly wider than economy seats, they just do not let the middle seats be beepked to give the illusion of more space between passengers. the seats do NOT recline any more than economy seats either. the only real difference is the full meal served to business (vs none for economy). I would rather have a wider, lie flat ACTUAL business class seat with no food for a 3 hr flight. this was pretty disappointing to say the least.

There wore nice leather like sits, in my opinion seats lay out bit tight . Crew was great they did averything possible to make averywone comfortable as possible, food was, think worst I ever head on flight, head chicken and yellow rice. Ice cream was a nic treat.

Our previous flight was delayed but they waited for us to board.

Flight was delayed, short time connection to next flight but we make it, service was good, worth to fly just to try thair on board blueberry juce. Eccelent communication with airline.

My American Airlines flight was deleted and you guys never let me know

I did not fly by vergin atlantic from bangalore to vasco da gama

Your flight delayed at Heathrow n I almost missed my mother funeral.you idiots. I had to waste 10 hours in different airports. Thank your stars I'm not suing you.

Miami airport needs more thorough signage. It was a long walk from my transport point to the check in desk,

Flight took off an hour late. Had to stay on the tarmac for half an hour after landing. Both annoying.

We had an unfortunate experience where we had to leave the aircraft after boarding, shortly before the scheduled takeoff time, and re-board. The reason given was that a passenger felt ill and had to cancel their plans and therefor their luggage had to be found and removed.

We’ve used VA before many times the experience is always been good they have lovely staff and the food is always delicious.

Everything about the flight was amazing from check in to boarding entertainment was okay food we didn’t try.

Seats were old and dirty, for a long haul flight you expect to be able to recline and for the av to work properly. Choice for vegans was fruit….

The Virgin Atlantic crew was very good. However, the equipment was OK, the seats were OK, but her bags did not arrive with me. Two bags showed up a day later and I’m still waiting for my third back.

The crew was very good. However, the equipment was a bit dated. Some of the electronics were not working. To top it, three bags didn’t arrive with me. Two of them were delivered a day later. I’m still waiting for the third bag, I was so looking forward to this virgin Atlantic flight, but, I am disappointed.

Unexpectedly was surprised with the space on flight in economy and the price.

I was not expecting having to pay for headphones, water and basic food in a 9 hours flight. Price for this flight was as high as any other, still I had to pay 4 lbs for a can of sprite. On top of that flight attendance gave a bothered look when I asked her for some ice for my soda. She reluctantly when to get it, brought me literally 3 cubes and walked away without looking at me to avoid another request. I couldn’t believe it. She was soooo rude. I will never book on Norse again and I will let everyone I know about this. Unforgivable, very bad customer service.

Great crew. Customer support is pretty much non existent. I had 2 tickets that were not used, the flight was overbooked. I think I should have been reimbursed for the unused tickets.

The movies were super old. The crew did not offer WATER???? 5 hours os flight and did not get WATER? Norse is the worst company I ever used and never will use again.

Why call us to board if we’re going to be made to stand in the tunnel for 20 minutes. Really hard for people with little children. Plus it took me ages to check in because my seat in Premium was overbooked so I didn’t actually have a seat. I did end up receiving my seat in Premium but there was a lot of stress and confusion beforehand. Hope is it possible to overbook seats? Especially in Premium!

We flew one way from Gatwick, London to JFK NY For 2 people $1200 and no food offered not even water. You had to buy food. Norse advertises as a low fare transatlantic airline, they may want rethink that. Crew, flight was fine. Ironically we flew American from JFK to Heathrow for $1000 (2people) and included food and drinks.

Longest check in line I have ever seen- brutal and airline personnel hustled me about the size of my bag even though I showed them that it measured exactly to the measurements posted on their site. Just super annoying- I get it - it’s a budget airline and you get what you pay for. Most of the flight were young people who seemed to have never experienced international travel. It’s worth paying for a seat otherwise you will be uncomfortable.

We flew premium on the way TO London but went back to economy for this flight. The differences I note here may be colored by changing service. The crew was professional and polite but cold on this flight and class of service. They seemed to want to have as little to do with us as possible, beyond providing the basic services in economy. The aircraft was still good though, and the pitch was about as tight as expected - manageable but no extra personal space to spare. Overall I would certainly fly Norse Atlantic again, given the opportunity.

The crew really made the difference. Some of the friendliest cabin crew I have ever encountered- they seemed genuinely happy to be there, and took pride in their airline and aircraft. The Dreamliner was quieter than legacy aircraft and while meals weren’t to our preference, they were at least something to keep us going!

I loved the ability to upgrade my seat which was worth it. The large seat and ability to recline made it comfortable to fall asleep. My only two complaints were entertainment (movie selections were old) and approx 30 mins before landing the crew started to collect the blankets despite the cabin air temperature remaining cold. Maybe wait for passengers to get off the plane before collecting the blankets.

Awful. I told them to cancel my return flight and they didn’t then charged me +$800 days before the flight for a biz class upgrade bid. When I called to confirm cancellation and get refund on buz class upgrade they said I had to go thru orbitz and it was too late. Scammers. Beware.

Little leg room in business. I am tall and could use more.

Was a cheap flight and it got me to Portugal on time. For economy there was ample leg room and the flight attendants were pleasant and helpful.

Flight was packed. This was a very uncomfortable experience. Boarding process could be explained better. Despite recommending a window seat when travelling with a pet in the cabin, the seat in front of me had less space than the center and aisle seats. For Premium Economy, the seats were crammed with minimal legroom. I hate to think what Regular Economy was like. The cabin crew missed me at first when handing out meals. When my meal eventually came, there were no utensils.

First time and I enjoyed the trip…. Will fly again soon 🔜

I’m still missing my bags. I’m soo frustrated

Baggage check in was very slow. No sign that the check in was TAP until the station opened. Understaffed and overworked team.

Got in on time. Food was the worst ever. Comfort was terrible. Check in was incredibly bad.

Flight delayed by >1 hour. Long boarding involving riding a shuttle to the plane.

When I tried to enter my identity details, your app told me information was missing but did not highlight the missing data. This was frustrating. Also, there was an unexplained delay of about 2 hours in taking off. This was also frustrating. Otherwise the experience was good.

Flight Attendant Karen Lynn was an absolute delight. She assisted in every portion of the services provided throughout the flight, aided with any and all concerns expressed by passengers, and even helped comfort an upset child who was one of five of a traveling family. This quality of service is what keeps me coming back to American. Thank you!

The worst, flight cancelled because the aircraft was not full. Heathrow ground crew totally not helpful and arrogant. Lady proposed us flight with 40min layover instead of direct and said it is our problem of course she was unable to do anything as everything was beyond her control she claimed. after calling on hotline another flight was booked. Flight was cancelled last second so we could not take direct from Zurich but we had to stay overnight in London.

Food was terrible , crew were excellent , IFE was dire . Overall comfortable seat and cabin. Nothing special .

If my tv wasn’t broken and I wasn’t in a seat that didn’t allow for sleeping

Delayed flight due to lack of crew caused me to miss my connection

Please make sure the number of seats matches the number of overhead bins and passengers don't carry on more than one bag.

Seating is tight if you don’t upgrade. Food was decent. Boarding and unboarding was efficient. Smooth flight. Could make upgrades more affordable

American Airlines seemed to run a 'dry' flight. No alcohol was offered at any point with meals. Breakfast was a bit tasteless. The 'hot pocket' whatever that is, was horrid breadish pastry with very little filling. Decaf coffee was horrid. Seats didn't seem as wide or spacious as usual, especually for a ten hour flight.

They did not provide free WiFi, It could be purchased for, I think, around $25, This seemed excessive.

Reliable, great value, but not outstanding in any aspect. This is similar to the experience you get in most international carriers like Etihad or Delta.
