Have patience. Heathrow is crowded and they don’t post the gate until the last minute. Be prepared to travel a long distance to the gate once it gets posted and go immediately.

Be prepared. BA didn't provide a gate until 45 minutes pre-boarding, with only a 15-20 minute window for passengers to "board" a bus, to take them to their plane.

KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from London to Brussels

  • Reaching London-serving airports for this route is easy, as the city provides excellent public transportation to the airports. Take the Gatwick Express train from Victoria Station direct to London Gatwick Airport (LGW) for a trip that takes about 30 minutes.
  • When deciding which airport to leave from in London, take your ground travel into consideration. Many of the London airports are not based in actual London, making travel times as long as an hour or more in some cases. London City Airport (LCY) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) are the closest to the city centre at about 15 minutes ground travel time.
  • This flight route has a great deal of airline choice to get tickets from. If your choice is driven by sustainability policies, you can choose from Ryanair or Wizz Air, both of whom are considered Europe’s most sustainable airlines. They both deploy multi-tiered models that have drastically reduced their carbon footprint.
  • If you are planning on taking a small pet to Brussels (BRU), book with SWISS. Dogs or cats under 8 kg are welcome in the cabin as long as they have a full health passport, are micro-chipped and not pregnant. Keep them in a small, waterproof container for the flight.
  • WIZZ Air allows babies under 2 years of age to fly for free, as long as they are seated on your lap for the duration of the flight. Most other airlines will charge 10% of the Economy fare and you will be able to get a bassinet upon pre-book. The airline will always give you an extender safety belt for you and the child.

Actually this is my first time using airline I was in every single thing that happened throughout our journey, the appearance of the plane inside furnished about the seating the flight attendants and many many more I was so excited throughout thank you Brussels Airlines for the great service.

On board service was decent. I like the legroom at UA that seems to be more than in other airlines

It was really good because the employees were very nice and fun to talk to. The entertainment was nice because they had plenty of movies to watch.

Crew was enthusiastic. Meal was surprisingly good. They came to give water very frequently. Negative that the seat reclining didn't work

That was a short flight by the only time I could actually sleep

How can a national carrier and part of Lufthansa group not even provide complimentary water and a snack in such a long flight ?

The flight went well, only during the flight from Brussels to Vilnius I would have liked if they had at least given us plain water to drink.

The boarding process would have been better. When people are flying internationally and the airline is a member of Star Alliance they cannot have different rules for carryon baggage. Brussels Airlines made us adjust the weight of our carryons based on their rules even though we were flying international and our next flight was with United which does not have weight restrictions for carryons. That was just ridiculous.

We waited in line for more than 30 minutes to go through the check in (after the staff summoned us). Once on the plane we had to wait almost two hours before takeoff. The copilot said that it was not their fault but that the plane had arrived late in the first place and lost the slot to leave again because of the heavy traffic, This is completely understandable in our times, but I would have expected a little bit of pampering from the staff. We received a tiny little cup of water because we complained. Not a coffee, not a cookie, no music on the plane, no plugs to recharge your cellphone. It was very cold inside the plane and someone asked for a blanket for a baby - very harsh answer from the staff, no blankets on this plane. I think they should review their instructions and team spirit as traveling is also the experience, not only getting from A to B. And it’s not fun to interact with staff that doesn’t seem like they are enjoying their job. And as far as I know and judging from the cost of the ticket Brussels Airlines it’s not even a low cost!

Terrible seats. Whoever designed the seats should try taking a long flight in it themselves.

LCY airport is an amazing airport and I love the flight from LCY to FRA with BA. Efficient, easy, comfortable and great luggage allownace with BA. I iused to fly predominantley LH, but the service and price - benefit ratio of Lufthansa has deteriorated a lot over the last 5 years. Whereas BA keeps an excellent service level with friendly staff.

Flight Attendant Karen Lynn was an absolute delight. She assisted in every portion of the services provided throughout the flight, aided with any and all concerns expressed by passengers, and even helped comfort an upset child who was one of five of a traveling family. This quality of service is what keeps me coming back to American. Thank you!

The airplane was old. Some things didn’t work out of middle seat was broken. The rest was OK.

The worst, flight cancelled because the aircraft was not full. Heathrow ground crew totally not helpful and arrogant. Lady proposed us flight with 40min layover instead of direct and said it is our problem of course she was unable to do anything as everything was beyond her control she claimed. after calling on hotline another flight was booked. Flight was cancelled last second so we could not take direct from Zurich but we had to stay overnight in London.

Very quick boarding. I was surprised we only got a small water and small thing of cookies, everything else was for purchase. No entertainment. Crew was excellent though.

Flight delayed in terms of boarding and Kayak was great in updating but the team on the groping at British Airways were really poor

A basic tea/ coffee and a snack could be provided especially for long distance flyers.

The information in the airport, and the app was different. Be aware. Different terminals in Stuttgart, so we had to walk a lot. It's a small airport so it wasn't a big deal, but it was ludicrous to see the error in the app.

Flight was delayed and there was boarding pass and flight information errors resulting in confusion and stress

Food was terrible , crew were excellent , IFE was dire . Overall comfortable seat and cabin. Nothing special .
