Top tips for finding a cheap flight out of India

  • The Maldives is an archipelagic state that has 185 inhabited islands. Depending on which one you plan to visit, you will need to plan your trip accordingly. For example, you can fly to either Male Airport (MLE), which is the capital city, or Addu City Airport (GAN) from Mumbai Airport (BOM). Flying to Male tends to be quicker and will also give you access to other islands via boat, so this could be a good option for you.
  • Indian citizens that are visiting the Maldives must ensure that their passport has at least six months remaining on it to enter the country. You must also have a confirmed return ticket and proof of accommodation on the islands. As for a visa, you will not need to get one before you arrive. You will be granted a 30-day single-entry visa for the purposes of tourism or business upon arrival.
  • No matter which airport you choose to land at, whether it's Male Airport or Addu City Airport, you will have access to great beaches almost immediately. From Male Airport, for instance, you can get to Hulhumale Public Beach in about 13min by car. Whereas from Addu City, you can reach Gauken’di Beach in around 17min by car. However, if you want to access beaches on other islands, then you should travel to Male, where you can get a boat to various locations.
  • After landing at Male Airport (MLE), you can reach other islands in the archipelago with ease. Just follow signs to the Sea Plane Terminal at the airport, where you can continue your journey to the island resort you’re heading to.
  • If you are booking flights to the Maldives during Ramadan, it is likely that ticket prices will be more expensive as a result of the religious festival. With all the country’s citizens being Muslim, it is a very important celebration on the island. Unless you are visiting for this purpose, it’s recommended you book either side of the festival for better ticket prices.

The flight gate was changed and all the pessengers were waiting at the gate #2 for boarding, There were 4 (four) employees standing at the boarding desk and no one ever said anything about the gate changed. Finaly when I noticed an employee was removing the boarding zone signs, it surprised me something is not right, so I went and ask that employee what happned - she said the gate has been changed. So, i questioned again which gate it would be, she told me gate #5. I look for Gate 5 - which was down stairs. When I went to gate 5 - no body was at that gate which depress me a lot because it was already a bording time pass. Later I checked on the departure screen for my flight - it was gate #1, so I had to go back again upstairs in hurry as the boarding time already pass. They never anounced or telling customer anything at the original boarding gate - WHICH WAS TOTALY STUPID. I am 77 yrs old and what they the employees and the managers care about) care about how I can handle all this going back and forth. Air India is just advertising they are getting bigger but their services are just BOGUS and I don't expect it would be any better. They are getting worst and worst than they use to be.

It was just like any other budget airline in India—nothing extraordinary. The check-in at CCU was surprisingly smooth and effortless, as expected after online check-in. But BOM? They had me join the regular check-in queue, while six Bag-Drop counters were busy doing the same thing. Makes you wonder how Vistara plans to promote web check-in if passengers end up in line anyway.

Flight was delayed more than 18 hours, checked in bag damaged, no accountability from vistara ground staff. Worst experience. Shall compensate all the charges with double Ticket refund

The flight was an hour late. There were no gate announcements or displays. After getting on the plane, there was a further delay without any explanation.

The flight was on time. I upgraded to Premium Economy and it was comfortable. The food was very good. Staff were courteous.

Flight was delayed but no announcements were made. Till the boarding it was still showing original schedule time at the monitor and also on your mobile app. It left the gate half hour later than scheduled.

It’s really very nice experience with very nice behaviour respected crews n all Vistara members thankyou so much Vistara to give us humble hospitality

My wife with 5 month son were traveling. No proper support was provided for luggage handling. Although it was requested in prior. My wife sole manage everything and was not as expected.

This was an old 320 without a screen or USB charging port even in the business class. The food could have been better.

a real good flying experince. Everything was excellent right from check-in to baggage collection at destination.

From the checking, ground handlimg was very poor.seems new personal on duty, people qho suppose to be teaching them didnt see around.new people may mislead passenger, as of flt info boards, not give proper info.even informatiin counter people dont get uptodate info.makin big ques, totally disaster.guests were not happy about it.even boarding to aircraft some BC class pax sent to aft staircase, some aft pasx sent to front door.poor ground handling.may need to improove.

Nice crew.flight delay fromBKK for some ground prep issue I guess, crew serve well to guest, and respect to guest as well. As usual AC is old,and nt much comert in compare to other rehional airliners.other than that.all good

All good, on time, depart.only bad side was, airxraft is too old to be in business.hope ailine will manage somethinv somewhat.all good

Flight was on time.food is as usual good.Aircraft is old.old A320, seats aithout any display.crew serve well

Was good, comparatively. A330, with good crew set.on time depature. And crew try there best, to make thing efficient.

Spesific ,Crew and cabin manager, look after all pax on board despite being in a old A320 equipment.Got free seat upgrade as well, but old style seats, no much comfert on it.But food and the spesific crew, was amazing.maintain airlanka standerd.the cabin manager, who was so much keen, keen operate as per SOP.

Was got free upgrade, on old A320.aircraft is out dated kind of.bt service ,cabin manager, tried there best.and food was excelent.

When flying from Indian Sector, should be more prepared with Indian food

KAYAK Real time status update is not accurate.the flight inbound rejected and go around.and came back and land. Delay abt 30 min.still shows ontime.track ur self if u wana real time.and cabin crew s are nicer. Aircraft is jst ok.old airplane.and in midflight ,seems have some compressor issue.airconditioning was nt work properly either.I could litarary see guests were cheking if AC is working.bt on landing it start to gv cool.which probably some one intentionaly kept .which was so bad.even breathing was bit difficult.otjer than that.for me all ok.

This leg of the trip was smoother than compared to the initial trip. Sri Lankan Airlines still have much work to do to improve the overall travel experience.

Terrible experience at IST airport due to mismanagement by ground and wheelchair staff.

Some seats don’t recline. No USB port or power outlet, no inflight WIFI - not even for SMS/Messaging apps. Ontime performance was very good. They should have at least one crew member who speaks the local language, for flights like these.

Some seats don’t recline. No USB port or power outlet, no inflight WIFI - not even for SMS/Messaging apps. Ontime performance was very good.

Although we took the XL seats with more width, we found that you do not have a seat in front to stow your personal item, nor can you stretch your legs. This is not the best option for a comfortable seat. Boarding was timely but disorganized without any row based entry.

Not professional and didn’t know about double seat even when I paid for it and have a confirmation. Lack of comms between teams.

deboarding is very poor after landing it took around 45 minutes to come out.

My baggage bag got broken and only 3000 voucher was given for compensation

Crew members forgot to serve sandwiches after serving the coffee. Worst was the handling of bag. One of wheel was Broken making it useless. Though a complaint was registered and assured of compensation voucher equal to part cost of the new bag.

The seats are horrible and pathetic. The flight was delayed by over an hour as they did not have the crew

Please don’t send survey questions on Indigo flights. 90% of booking, check in, Boarding work is done by the passenger. So those questions are irrelevant

Why should I rate entertainment if I’ve not used? You don’t have NA - Not Applicable option.

my experience with kayak was terrible. Team kayak just left me with a booking and limbo and preffered not to contact me.. Instead when I contacted the team they said the booking is cancelled. Seriously 5 days after booking u were waiting of my call to inform me of the incompetence of the team. This will be taken up with higher authorities

only passenger seats are too much narrow. It’s not comfortable otherwise it’s good. Seats are very important because it’s main in Travel

Miss my flight from delhi to amritsar due to lock the luggage door of airplane.and there was no more flight even for next days and they not refund the fare. I took bus grom delhi.. bad experiance.

very run down aircraft. seat tilted. the mobile / magazine holder was broken. The entertainment screen was not working. The crew was good, polite and helpful

Boarding was through bus even though aerobridges were empty. Major mess

Food is good, staff is good... Wi-fi quality is poor, disembarkment after landing is atrocious.

Flight crew was lovely. Bathrooms should have been cleaner. The handsets in business class for watching the entertainment are horrible. Very difficult to figure out which buttons are for what. I managed to get the flight maps on my screen but it wasn't easy. Never got anything else up.

Uneventful trip. Good flight crew. Food could have been better and a bit more of it. Cabin cleanliness was ok.

Extremely bad experience compared to Vistara. No priority in check in, no priority for boarding. No upgrade. Seat selection is paid. Curtains were dirty. Demo bag was dirty. Warmth of the crew was missing.
