KAYAK’s top tips for finding a cheap flight from Atlanta to Cairo

  • Your flight from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) to Cairo International (CAI) airport will be lengthy. It’s unlikely to find a non-stop flight to Egypt, but you can make the most of your trip between layovers. For example, you have a stopover in Frankfurt am Main (FRA) when you fly with Lufthansa Airline and time for shopping around Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl (YUL) when you use Air Canada.
  • Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport accommodates passenger guide dogs and provides indoor Service Animal Relief Areas (SARAs) in every Concourse, including a 1,000-square-foot dog park in the Ground Transportation area on Domestic Terminal South (doors W1 and W2). Dogs and falcons traveling through Cairo International airport must be shipped as cargo and have a valid government-issued Health Certificate by a licensed veterinarian in the country of origin.
  • For a fee, smokers can access Egyptair Kochab Smoking Lounge inside Terminal 3 of Cairo International airport or use priority passes to shower and enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle of traveling. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has a total of 13 lounges. As the central hub for Delta Airlines, ticketed passengers can access Delta Sky Clubs in Concourse A to F and T.
  • Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson is hectic on Mondays before 9 am and Fridays between 3-5 pm. If your flight to Cairo falls within the abovementioned timeline, you can make TSA screening times easier by arriving 3h early. Cairo International is Africa’s busiest airport terminal. Securing a 30-day entry visa can be easy if you come prepared with a passport valid for six months from the arrival date and the stipulated visa fee.
  • The last thing you need to worry about is where to freshen up after traveling thousands of miles. The Le Méridien Cairo Airport hotel is connected to terminal 3 and provides a convenient haven for weary travelers. Passengers that want to rest for 1h or spend the night can do so at Minute Suites located in hall B, near door B16 inside ATL airport.

Not a good one this time. The absence of internet without any information/notification ahead was really the unacceptable part. Also this new A350-900 has a serious legroom challenge for economy seats. It’s more like a medium-haul flight legroom configuration.

Not great , just ok . I expected better food but it did not deliver . Flight staff was ok . The guy at the drop off bag counter was the only saving grace in this whole trip . He was pleasant, friendly and very helpful . You couldn’t ask for a better assistance from him .

There was 2 hours delay before boarding and 2 hours delay after boarding while waiting in the plane

They lost my baggage and I still have not got it back. Disgrace

They lost my lauggage and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. NO ONE IS HELPING! PLEASE HELP FIND MY LOST LAUGGAGE

A disaster. Air France is a real joke. They overcharge us customers for absolutely nothing. Service was very poor, food was mediocre, entertainment non existent, etc. We paid thousands of dollars for our business class tickets and then we were told in Paris we could not access its lounge. Really Air France ? Congratulations on irritating your customers to the sky high level and ensuring we will do everything in our power to discourage others to travel with you.

They again did not offer any functioning WiFi in the transatlantic crossing.

The first half from DC to Paris was very good and the staff were very helpful and humble BUT flight from Paris to Mumbai was sad. 1) it was packed. 2) no space on head compartment 3) crews were unresponsive to the calls 4) one crew member literally banged the bottle of water after giving me glass of water. A little water splashed on me and she was unapologetic 5) with so many hours of flight, little leg space should be taken care else don’t fill your airline till brim which affects your crew and they remove anger on us. 6) huge line for washrooms. 7) 2nd half journey was pathetic

Forty five minutes late for departure. Staff were pleasant. Food was adequate but not outstanding. Entertainment system was very good, as it usually is on Air France.

Good. Food items are ok but not really healthy (no protein for the vegetarian option, just a total of 2 gr total) so not fulfilling. Also, no airline is educating passengers to behave and have common sense: let the one sitting by the window pass first, leave toilets clean after use, etc. Humanity is just getting rude and more disgusting by the day and without education or enforced common sense no

Turkish Airlines apparently no longer gives you 2 checked bags allowance on international flights, so that pleasure cost me $165 for my second suitcase at the airport. On top of that, they damaged that very suitcase, which happens to be a designer one and part of a set - ripped one of the four wheels right off.

Pretty standard for long haul international flying. Food was fine, tv/movie selection was great, wifi did not work at all, crew was pleasant enough.

Very poor service. Not friendly and special food ordered but not served

Very bad from ISTACC leg of flight specifically the seats. These seats are for economy not for Business class. I suppose when flying to a third world country you can fly any craft and no one questions it. I was very disappointed for that leg of the flight. This needs to change.

Was an excellent experience I have been flying Turkish Airlines for 5 years and always will

It was good. Turkish Airlines is one of the best airlines companies. I like a lot to travel with them

Customer service is very bad. They don’t understand English or Arabic which made it very hard to communicate with them. Also when calling to discuss any issue with ticket reservation they hang the phone on you even when speaking to the manager. I will not fly Turkish airlines and I will not recommend to family and friends

Four of my family members was settled in a different seats. I paid extra $200 dollars for 4 seats just to be all together, but they settled us on separated seats. After a lots of time they put us 2 and 2. My kids are 9 and 13 . How i can leave them alone???

It is much better than other airlines but not the best for the price

I did not like the quality of the food and there was no snacks offered between meals.

Newark to Montreal was really good. The return flight was not so good with a substitute carrier was not as good. I was impressed by the AC staff all along the way. Their in flight stack was superior.

I’m handicapped and the staff and crew were so kind and helped me board and made sure I was fine during the flight.

The people are great! The trip to Japan is simply never ending!!! Not the problem of the airlines, though.

United agent at FLL excellent - due 55 min conx at ORD rerouted us on an earlier departure via DEN and got home 5 hours earlier than expected

I bought a ticket from Brussels to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA via Montreal. When I went to the airport, I learned that I needed a Canadian visa. When I bought the ticket online, there was no warning saying "If you are not a US or Canadian citizen; You need a Canadian visa." I asked for my money back, but the staff at the airport said they couldn't help me. I said, "Make the ticket open, I'll fly later," and they said no. I looked for this information on Air Canada's website. They've hidden it so well that it's impossible to find it easily. I understand that Air Canada makes millions of dollars in unfair profits by selling tickets this way. Why don't they ask when purchasing? They don't ask; because they're making money. Every year, perhaps thousands of tickets are subject to this situation. I will use all my rights and complain everywhere. Maybe they won't give me my money back, but I would advise anyone buying ticket to be careful from now on.

Friendlier staff who are nice to the elderly who need assistance

They intentionally delayed the flight by half an hour to accommodate a few fools who didn’t show up in time to clear customs. I missed my connector, missed an important meeting, and was charged a rebooking fee. Never again

Never flew with AirCanada before. Was a super duper flight every time and on time! No changes or delays!

Everything went very smoothly and the staff was courteous and friendly. I was really happy and pleased with how well the plane was flown because the departure, descent and landing were really smooth with no sudden drops. The plane’s interior was clean and nice and new in appearance.

Air Canada is the best company I’ve ever flown with. If I had the money, I would only fly with them.

British Airways canceled my flight and I had to fly on Lufthansa the next day. What a garbage airline 🗑️

3 hr delay. No water given while on the plane for 3hrs.

No fast track available, no organisation. Unpleasant boarding system at gate 20 at JFK. When giving feedback to the lounge team I was told to talk to the manager instead of taking the feedback.

The whole experience was great. The only improvement would be the entertainment selection

Flight attendant kept banging her cart into my aisle seat. Hard. Couldn’t lean seat back. Should be warned of limitations when booking seat

I will travel by BA only in future also. Only suggestion is they should give aisle seat in front near washroom for senior citizens

Economy extremely cramped. Dinner was not good. Breakfast was quite good. Crew was excellent.

It was good overall. Entertainment was ok, one of the TV screens had issue. Bit old plane but leg space was good. Overhead luggage had good space. The worst part was experience at Heathrow airport, it was total chaos.

Comfortable, pleasant staff, quiet, good entertainment, food, drinks. Better than American (flight back) when we were crammed in and staff sometimes indifferent.

I was disappointed with the quality of the food and the fact that I was not given a toiletry bag for an overnight international flight
