Beautiful view, location is great! 20 min walk to downtown- but also a water taxi stop directly out back ($8 one way) and the hotel offers a free shuttle downtown. When you call from downtown, be prepared for the woman answering to be incredibly rude and then just hang up once you give your location. Also a 3 min walk from the Fisherman’s Wharf. - lots to see, great to check out with kids. Expensive food ($16 nachos, $20 single piece of fish and chips). There is no housekeeping offered. I stayed 4 days and my garbage can was overflowing- I even brought it down to the public bathroom and emptied it myself as that was the only garbage can around. There was one regular and one decaf coffee in room, with a door knocker indicating coffee would be refilled if left on. After 2 days and several requests, I finally received more. Pool is wonderful. It’s both indoors and outdoor, hot tub and sauna are also nice. Restaurant is insanely overpriced. Drip coffee is $5, two poached eggs with toast was $17. The Marina Manager is rude - I suspect it’s also her answering the shuttle calls. Front desk staff were very helpful. Shuttle driver is excellent! The hotel does not offer airport shuttle (and currently the service is on hold in Victoria, so taxi is the only option. It was $70 from the hotel).

Pros:The hotel is a bit out of the downtown area, but still pretty accessible. The location is beautiful looking over the inner bay. An upper floor is suggested. The room was clean and very comfortable.
Cons:The front desk staff was not rude, but just felt a little dismissive. The concierge is absolutely the wrong guy for the job. Again, not rude, but never smiled in our two interactions with him. He had trouble finding a city map for us. When we asked if the free shuttle could take us to a location, he just said no, but failed to help us try to find out how to get there. Just not the right guy for a job like that.

Cons:Parking was scarce due to an event. Thank goodness for staff to park my care after event.

Pros:I liked that the hotel was close to the water and Fisherman's Wharf. It was clean and the staff was friendly.
Cons:It was far from the main downtown core. They do provide a free downtown shuttle on a first come basis until 2300. I believe this hotel would do much better if they had a FREE airport shuttle AND a free continental breakfast. I know I will look for both in a hotel if I return to the area.

Pros:Great location overlooking the entrance to Victoria inner harbor. Very nice and helpful staff. Nicely designed rooms.
Cons:Worst: nearly all the pillows smelled of old sweat. We finally requested and received new, unused pillows. Avoiding dry cleaning pillows is not a good cost-cutting measure! Also, waited one hour for breakfast, after two complaints, received it with the explanation that here were "problems in the kitchen." To their credit, the restaurant wait staff seemed embarrassed and comped the breakfast. Another morning we decided to skip the menu and do the $17 buffet, which was MUCH worse that the free buffets you get at budget hotels.
