They told me on the phone that there was no 7 seater cars available for the date I wanted even though I said that there was availability on line. He told me that there was a lag between online and their system and I wouldn’t be able to get a car. I booked it anyways and crossed my fingers that he was wrong; which he was.

The car would not charge. The agency would not replace the vehicle. I wasn’t able to drive because I had to conserve battery for return date. It was awful.

KAYAK
Very disappointed. Van I rented was not available, the replacement was not cleaned properly rear wheels were almost bald, and steering was misaligned. Further it was too small for my trip and luggage. This was all at the last minute on a long weekend. When I called to complain KAYAK sent me to DOLLAR and DOLLAR sent me to KAYAK. I will never use KAYAK or DOLLAR again there is no point making a reservation a month ahead of trip when both company’s over books reservations. And hope you will take what they have in there lot. Further customer service was non existent, call centre staff had little command of English were completely useless, and unable to understand my displeasure and frustration when I explained, I needed a van to transport my daughter and supply’s to university and that I could not postpone my trip because we had hotel reservations. Covid is not an excuse for incompetence.
