Pros:

Good van - what we needed

Cons:

I originally booked a van to find out in small print it wasn't what I though. After ringing I booked another bigger one, the price told on the phone to me was incorrect, no new emails sent through- poor communication. Upon arrival had to pay a deposit of £200 which wasn't told to us so had to use over draft, will stick to afford in future.

Pros:

Had a phone call the following day to ask if everything was ok with the Car provided Was given a 10% Discount card for my next booking 2nd time i've had this with Enterprise

Cons:

Always have to take out the extra Insurance if not taken and have an accident there is a one thousand pound payment. I know this is best for me but would like when booking to have an option to take this so it is very clear what you will be paying for the Rental duration and not find out on the day i arrive.

Being Scammed for fuel is not a good experience especially from a brand such as Sixt. I rented a car with a supposed full tank. the Car is a small Car and that can hardly burn more than 5/6 litres per 100km. After I drove 130 KM and returned the car, I had to fill in 15.3 liters . this only means one thing, the car was not full. the second car I rented and that I am still driving, shows 670km autonomy and a small red band at the fuel level indicator. Again NOT Full. I have no idea what games are being played at this location with Fuel, but it looks like a Scam to me. SIXT Better ACT

We felt fortunate to get our rental. There were only two agents working, by the time our delayed fight arrived, and the customer lines were very long. We were relieved to get a car, despite the fact that many customers did not. The customer service agent was very friendly and helpful.

The “midsize suv” was a tiny Corolla Cross which is a crossover economy platform not an SUV of any kind. And it was expensive and the pick up area at JFK is torn up badly!

The woman at Marrakech pick up location was nice, professional, and clear. The man at Tangier drop off location was nice, professional and clear but he charged us for cleaning the vehicle which should have been included in price.

At was clean. Low tire light came on within 2 minutes of office to return. Tried to charge me 15€ for “tire repair”. I said no way and they waived it.

Great experience. The only recommendation: I received a bridge toll fine of 22.00 pounds. My fault. Europcar charged 40.00 pounds to notify me by email. That seems excessive to me.

Advance check in was easy. I rented via car rentals.com. That was a pain since you can't contact hertz directly if you have an issue with a late plane or canceled flight to tell them you aren't coming. Did save a bunch of money with prepay.

I showed up with a prepaid reservation, ID and forms of payment, and even went to the trouble of checking in online. I spent 2:30 hours in front of the counter and on hold with Hertz customer support before we finally figured out the issue their system was having and got me my car. It was an absolute nightmare. Never again.

The car was filthy, the polstry was disgustingly stained from previous customers on all seats in that car, the interior stank so bad I had to put an air freshener to cover it up, the steering wheel was sticky by touching, the car was giving to me with a maintenance due soon and 15% oil life left, the backsplash wiper was broken. In Germany they would never ever have given me a car in that condition! But I have to give credit for the staff in Watertown after they issued me my ticket for the car and the wrong payment was on it to solve that issue to the price I booked.

Horror movie. There were no cars available. No one wanted to be responsible. Hertz tried to charge 2x the price. Kayak never responded to phone calls, emails, chat messages or messages via the website. Hertz made me move to 3 other locations where they might had cars. It was not true. I spent tons on money on Ubers. Then they told me to wait one more day to pick up the car. I waited and spent one extra night in Chicago. No cars again! Worst experience ever and lack of professionalism from both Hertz and Kayak. Absolute nightmare!
