I called and confirmed that there would be a car for me. Keisha said yes there was a Nissan SUV for me, so I rode to the airport to pick it up. When I got there, the people at the counter said there was not a car for me.l and that they do not take same day reservations. I told them I spoke to Keisha and she said there was a car here for me. They said “customer service doesn’t know what inventory we have. We don’t have any cars, and no one else does.” Why would Alamo let me make a reservation if they didn’t have any cars or accept same day reservations? So frustrating. They offered no help either.

Antony at the Salzburg Hbf store was awesome. He anticipated our needs and got us in our car quickly. He was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Great guy!!!

Cons:

Customer service. We wanted to shorten our reservation to 4 days with drop-off by 12:29 pm July 6. I called toll 1-800# & was told to call local # we rented from. I called there numerous times. each time the woman said she was very busy and to call back later then hung up.many more problems....

Pros:

Somewhat better pricing than other car rental agencies. No problem with picking up in Salzburg and dropping off at Munich airport (i.e.: a one-way rental). Very capable and cordial rental agent in the Salzburg office.

Cons:

All European car rentals seem to be insanely expensive, as compared with American agencies. I don't think it's just the higher taxes. A mystery.

Had two 15 person vans reserved for months. Enterprise called at 7 pm the night before on 1 and at 7 am the day of reservation on the other: “we don’t have any 15 p vans.” No explanation. No help finding 15 p vans at other locations. Even though their website showed availability that day. Pathetic lack of service and consideration. I will not use Enterprise again.

Car was great! Only issue was that the language for the on-screen controls was in German or Dutch and I could not find a way to change it. Also, not knowing what the toll charges will be until later is concerning. But it all worked out fine. Great customer service.

Despite having a reservation, they did not have a car for me. All the cars were taken to a different branch per the employee. I was not contacted prior to my arrival.
