The pick up method in Florence is horrible, I also asked the drop off to be in Rome and I didn’t notice they put Genoa so I had to pay an extra $100 in fee for when I dropped it off to the location I had originally asked for.

They did not have the SUV I reserved, and insisted I take a pick up truck or a mid-sized sedan! THey took no responsiblity for this error... Also, the deposit for self CDW insurance (over US20K in deposit) was just too unreasonable. Staff not friendly.

These guys are the worst. Watch out for all kinds of hidden charges and if anyone tells you anything about your rental, make sure you get it in writing. These guys are supreme scam artists. Don’t get suckered like I did.

I was told I HAVE to get the premium insurance otherwise my deposit would be $26,000!!The receptionist kept on showing us in Spanish, I asked to have it shown in English, she did. And I was able to select no insurance, but it needed managers passcode. So I clicked back, and selected the lowest coverage and it was allowing me to choose how much deposit, $5000! At the return, they charged me $0.01 to release my deposit, which still has not been release. The car itself was comfortable, the people on the other hand, I feel they are shady.

Although I have payed the insurance in advance through the website, they asked me to pay it again. I was told that the insurance I paid for on the website was for American citizens only.

Cons:

Never got deposit money back!!. You took 250£ from me and told me that you will return it 5days after returning. 7days passed, i contacted you and you said it took 10 working days. Now its 14 working days passed by, and nothing happens!!!! Or it will take 30years to return deposit money..., I have no idea

Location was short on vehicles. Employees were working hard to keep wait to a minimum, even giving free upgrades if category reserved wasn't available. Shuttle bus driver was exceptional also - loading all bags so customers could get to the counter quickly and safely. SUV was in great shape with fewer miles than I've seen in rental cars since the pandemic. Excellent overall experience!

Alamo, National and Enterprise (all owned by the same parent company) are the farthest walk from the terminal in Athens. Reserved a sedan so that we would have a trunk for our luggage. Tried to offer me a Jeep which doesn't have a trunk and wouldn't work as my wife had broken her ankle 2 days before and couldn't have gotten up into it. Car had multiple areas of scrapes and dents, which isn't unusual for Greece but the interior was fine and it ran well. Was not happy that they gave me a car with a half tank of gas which makes it difficult to know how much to add to get it back to a half tank when you're not used to filling it and you can't do self-serve in Greece. Staff was fine to deal with though took a long time with the one customer in front of me in line.

Need to be honest with clients. When I picked up the vehicle I was offered to pay $8.00 dls and not need to worry to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas which I agreed to pay the $8 dls. After i returned it I noticed they charged me $98.00 dls extra for filling up the tank when i returned the car with a 3/4 of the tank full. I’m very disappointed with Alamo how they still money.

There was no car waiting for us as booked. The service was not very helpful. Had to wait two hours to return the car by another customer. This was delayed even further for 1,5 hours. So we lost 4 hours waiting This was all unacceptable and we had to pay a driver to take us to the needed location. No proper communication is a major problem.

I rented from the DIA location even though I wasn’t traveling in from a flight. The person dropping me off couldn’t find an appropriate place to drop me off without driving over the strips. They ended up dropping me off on the street. Next, when I got in the vehicle, it was filthy. There was coffee spilled all over the dash and both front doors. Additionally there was empty water bottles and trash throughout the entire vehicle. I can detail exactly where the previous renter took the vehicle based on the remnants left behind. Lastly, the windshield was covered in big guts. If I plan to rent a vehicle, I don’t expect to have to detail it before I use it. This was a waste of my travel time to have to go your job for you.

We were misled into taking an EV even though we had booked a gasoline car. And this is inspite of them knowing we would be traveling from SF to LA as car drop was at LA. We also pointed out our route including Yosemite. They told us we needn't worry as the car goes from 0-80% charging in 15 min on a fast charger. We struggled across the 7 days as charging was slow and the range on full charge was only 140 miles on the Subaru. Very unethical and misleading team at this branch.

Car was very comfortable, clean , more than enough power, pick up was sooo easy, drop off a little disappointing as there were no persons on the counter and we really wanted to know about the deposit return. In the end we had to drop the key and run for our boarding, but was sorted very easy next day by phone call.
