When I arrived to pick up my car they said their system was down but they would sort it out manually. After waiting for 45 minutes I cancelled my reservation and rented a car next door at Europcar in 5 minutes.8.0 Very Good

Terrible conditions!!!! The car was really dirty in the inside, the left sound box was burst, so to turn on the radio was almost impossible. We got the economic spark! They didn't tell you the car before, otherwise I would never take it. There was a hole in the windshield and we got scared because we were in the road for a few day in Kruger park. The others car rental offer much better deal for the same price. I took a fews day later a Sandero for the same price at Europcar (amazing deal and company).4.4 Mediocre

Good location of pickup and drop off, however the car was extremely under maintained. It was missing boot and door trims, rattling parts, and old (34,000kms+). I will not be using thrifty ever again despite the slightly lower cost.Avis

After we told them no insurance they put it on the paper work then when we pointed it out he had to start the paperwork over again. Originally issued a car with no gas and smelled like cigarettes badly. Had to unpack our backs and go all the way back to the rental center. No apology. Just a silent reissue of keys. Drop off was chaotic. No return recipet was issued.4.4 Mediocre

You will get charged unexplained fees that will double the quoted Kayak rate, including a "fuel service fee" that no one will disclose to you until it shows up on your receipt and credit card statement. I will not be renting with Avis again.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
I arranged for a 5 am pickup. There was no shuttle. I was then waiting for the office to open at 6am as was posted at the office. By 6:10 there was still no one. I rented a vehicle from Avis. I will not be using hertz again.10.0 Wonderful

When I removed the car the employee said that the car was new and had no defects, including the marking sheet showed no malfunctions. The wait was quite long getting the car. I was told it was easy to see the gas station at the airport upon the return but I didn’t. Someone from another rental helped me find it and actually rode with me. And they charged my credit card a $1300 deposit but haven’t credited it yet as promised.4.4 Mediocre
