Flight from London Stansted Airport to Karachi

FAQs - booking Pakistan flights

  • Can I fly directly to Pakistan from London?

There’s a Saturday flight from Heathrow Airport on Pakistan International Airlines that flies non-stop to Karachi Quaid-E-Azam International (KHI) – or Jinnah Airport – in about 6h 45min. These are the fastest flights. There are daily direct flights to Islamabad International on Pakistan Airlines, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, which take about 8h. Unfortunately you can’t fly directly from Stansted Airport.

  • Which Pakistan airport should I choose for my arrival?

If you land in Karachi, you’ll be down on the southern coast of Pakistan and not too far from Hyderabad. Conversely, the capital city of Islamabad is in the far north of the country. So if you want to experience the famed Pakistan urban hustle and bustle, fly to Islamabad, and choose Karachi for a relaxing coastal holiday.

  • How do I get from Pakistan airports to the city centres?

After landing at Karachi Airport, you can catch a Karachi Urban Bus to the city centre in just over 45min. Alternatively, hire a car or take a taxi, a trip of about 16min. Unfortunately, there isn’t any public transport to central Islamabad from the airport, so your options are to hire a car or take a taxi, which is a roughly 16min drive.

  • What limited mobility amenities are available at Pakistan airports?

Islamabad Airport has a Special Care service by pre-arrangement, and personalised wheelchair services and ramps, with all facilities signposted in International Sinology. Karachi Airport has separate accessible counters, smooth ramp areas and wheelchair-friendly lifts, and all amenities have limited mobility access. There are also designated parking lots in the Arrivals lane.

  • Is it necessary to get a visa to visit Pakistan?

UK citizens need a visa for Pakistan. You can stay for 30 days and your visa will be valid for 90 days after you get it. Your passport will need to be valid for at least six months from the day you arrive. Note that you’ll have to show proof of a return ticket and accommodation with your visa when you arrive.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from London to Pakistan?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from London to Pakistan.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from London to Pakistan?

KAYAK’s flight Price Forecast tool uses historical data to determine whether the price for a flight to Pakistan from London is likely to change within 7 days, so travelers know whether to wait or book now.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from London to Pakistan?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional return ticket. You could then fly to Pakistan with an airline and back to London with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from London to Pakistan?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying to Pakistan from London up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

Top tips for finding a cheap flight from London to Pakistan

  • Morning departure is around 9% more expensive than an evening flight, on average*.
  • If you’re in West London, you can fly to Pakistan from Heathrow Airport (LHR). If you’re coming from the north, rather book your flight from London Stansted Airport (STN).
  • To get to Heathrow most easily, take the Heathrow Express train from Paddington Station. If you’re flying from Stansted, you can catch the Stansted Express from Liverpool Street Station.
  • To save on carbon emissions on this route, choose one of the Ryanair flights out of Stansted Airport. These are also convenient, landing in both Karachi and Islamabad, in that order.
  • You can enjoy a complimentary bath or shower at Karachi Airport to refresh yourself after your flight and at Islamabad Airport, the kids can blow off steam in a play area.
  • By law you won’t need to use child seats when driving with children in Pakistan, but it’s good idea to get them due to the constant stop-start nature of city traffic.
  • Lahore is Pakistan’s most famed historical city and a major tourist destination. Flights to Islamabad International Airport (ISB) will put you within easy driving distance.

Flight was delayed and no information was provided what was new time Change gate 3 times at Madina airport First gate was 113 Second gate was 204 And last gate was 113 again

Flights were both delayed. No luggage on arrival for the whole plane and no contact since submitting a PIR.

The customers before boarding the plane from Dubai was HORRENDOUS. The entire Emirates staff had a stick up their bum. The guy at the check in booth was rude. I don’t understand.

Absolutely terrible delays for 3 hours changed seats after we paid an upgrade on both legs. It appears it’s up to us to request a refund after they down graded our seat. Never again !!

They had superb boarding (started an hour before flight time). Timely pushback from them gate and an early arrival. Flight and service was very comfortable. I wanted to move my flight to an earlier one, only thing was there was no one at emirates in Heathrow to help. Had to call the call the center and pay to change. There were ample seats on the flight though

Emirates flights always nice. Service rendered by the staff is superb.I am always comfortable in Emirates flights.

Lovely experience. I feel like travelling in Emirates.. The flights are always superb.Vegan food served was really good..

Well emirates since after covid recovery their service became much poorer than before , old planes to some destinations, untrained staff , rude , inflexible, and poor food, this specific flight the plane felt like in the 90s , and staff behavior was rude due to usual incidents in these flights for some destinations, i understand this but they pit everyone at the same basket, a readiness to be rude anytime

Food was not great. Crew members were created hassle with attitude at the gates and wasted my valuable time. I have been traveling in Emirates airlines many times. Over all not happy flying in Emirates airlines this time. Seats are very small and not comfortable. Seats looks like very very old and congested. It would be nice if they fix these kind of issues. I hope my next trip will be hassle free and comfortable journey in Emirates airlines. Thank you.

There was a smell front the washroom on flight. There could have been efforts to ensure better sanitation/air circulation once used severally.

Don't be afraid if you board an Oman Air Airbus A330 - it will take you to Colombo and not Muskat. The Aircraft is leased by Qatar Airways ;-)

I staff or crew they were very friendly and humbly, they done theirs service very well, I appreciate them and thank you to the company or Qatar 🇶🇦 Government for providing as good service in their flight ,once again, thank you 😊 🙏 😀 😉 👍

Online check-in doesn't work. That's why I couldn't give it full Star.

My seat that I booked over a year ago and some other passenger was sitting in it. They said they could not walk and they would not move. I was with my young kid and the crew did nothing to accommodate that. Just disappointed that the airline accepts that excuse from a passenger.

Crews are very rude and unhelpful. Cramped seats in economy. Foods are useless

Lovely aircraft and I flight entertainment. Good leg room. Full flight crew struggled a bit

Ordinary Indian food... Not great. Limited movie and TV selection

This was a really enjoyable flight. Even though I was in economy, I had a great deal of leg space, I had a nice meal, and the flight staff was helpful and friendly. A really great flight.

The flight was quite comfortable for a 12 hour flight! Food was excellent. The service was good, the entertainment was fine. All in all, one of the better long-haul flights I’ve experienced.

I liked the food and services provided. I think the seating should be updated cause it’s to congested for economic class.

This booking was as a result of stolen identity and hacking my debit account. I reported it to my bank. The thief tried to book two flights, maybe more. Hopefully, Kayak will be able to block fraudulent bookings and charges better in the future.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Would definitely fly Saudia again.

I wonder why checking carry on bags while the checking process was done by Moroccan security. Is it question of trust or Morocco security system is not qualified enough?

Food could be better. Bread should be warm served with butter. Bread quality is bad and cold served.

Entertainment for non Arabic speakers is very limited. Seats were comfortable. Seat map while booking showed 2-2-2 config, but the flight had 1-2-1..

The seats’ reclined like premium economy seats, ie, not much.. but leg space was a lot l, so it did not feel cramped. Crew was very friendly and helpful.

Since it leaves at 2:00am you sleep through most of it.

Flight was delayed, but there was no explanation why. Seats were comfortable and service was good. Food was good and there were more snacks than I expected.

The best way to fly is saudia airlines flight Every thing is better (Number one 🫶) Thank you

The menu options in business class were few and the crew kept running out of the desired options! So what seemed like 4 options for meals turned out to be just one option! The entertainment system had very few movie selections for Hollywood and Bollywood movies. The audio in the headphones was poor as it was difficult to follow the dialogues; my fellow travelers had similar complaints.

Excellent service and comfort from the moment you check in. Flight crew is hyper focused on making passengers comfortable and at ease. It’s like a flying hotel!

Nothing really was great as such. Seen other no name airlines perform better.

Don’t use them on the IST-isb route, horrible service

It was a nightmare. I booked business class ticket from Ediburgh to Beirut via Istanbul to attend a funeral. I had a wonderful experience flying to Istanbul from Edinburgh. Then I could not get a boarding pass issued to Beirut. It seems that although they booked me and I had a reservation number, I had no seat allocated and the flight was full. I was asked to go from one desk to another and made to wait for 2 hours. I missed my flight as I did not have a seat assigned and it was full. The only option was to put me on the next flight, 6 hours later, for a fee of over $400. They said that was the best they can do to 'help me' and to 'take it or leave it'. Well, I was not about to be bullied; I stood my ground. I booked and paid premium for the journey, which was confirmed. The eventually accepted to not charge me extra and i waited a total of over 8 hours in the airport with no compensation. On top of my grief with the risk of missing the funeral service, I had to put up with their indifference and condescending attitude. They spoke about me in Turkish thinking I would not understand (I hold a British passport) in front of me. When they eventually handed my passport and boarding pass back to me, I showed them I was born in Istanbul and that I understood everything and said a condescending 'thank you' back to them in Turkish. You should have seen their faces. I said that consumers have rights and it is a shame that Turkish Airlines does not have good customer service to at least acknowledge and apologize for errors committed by the airline. Blaming the me, the client, for such an error and placing unreasonable ultimatums, rudeness and dismissiveness to be rid of me, particularly when I was vulnerable and visibly grieving was really shocking... The airline taints the city of Istanbul and the people of Türkiye. Such a shame.

There was a Turkish Airlines employee sitting in front of us, we noticed from her conversations we witnessed with the cabin crew and the fact that she boarded business class. She was sat in 16A. Firstly she was talking loudly the majority of the flight with two other men, one of which was leaning over the seat in front of her. This was disturbing as they were talking loudly and we were not able to sleep. The 12 hour long flight turned into a nightmare, even the noise cancellation didn’t work for their chatter. Secondly she requested extra meals from the crew for her male friends. We believe the meals came from business class. They also took their e-cigarettes out and were caught the cabin crew, but no further action was taken. Sitting in economy and seeing this is extremely disheartening. Next time I will book Emirites, I don’t think their staff would be allowed to behave like this.

In general terms the service was excellent. I would ask that they add more content in Spanish to the catalog of movies, series and music.

Great ground-check in crew. Pleasant flight attendant crew. Very short flight

Just on time arrival and departure would make it great

The flight departed on time and the staff was professional.

A good airline, but at checking in, they allocated seats for my wife, and I far away from each other, and to change them, they wanted a payment, such a bad policy, it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth All was good on the plane, good food, but the air hostess was abrupt and a bit rough dealing with the passengers, but one has to find excuses for staff working under pressure

My luggage never arrived to Zurich. They can't confirm when it will arrive

Late again. 3 out of 4 late. One cancelled flight and one lost bag.

Charged an extra 65 pounds for overweight suitcase, Not told how much overweight but had no choice but to pay the price. Compare to Delta Airlines where I flew internationally a few days before with this suitcase and no extra charge by Delta. Comfort was horrible. I am just under 6 feet tall, and good that the flight was only 1 1/2 hours, because my knees were in the seat back in front of me the whole flight. I felt that my knees were part way up to my chest. No reason to have the seats that close. I will say to the positive was the flight crew, very friendly and efficient.

The flight was delayed as they were waiting on catering. Catering. Was eventually delivered but they still had no food. No meals for us in business class - just a bag of nuts.

Our luggage is missing. We are at the Hotel Gran Via in Barcelona

Air hostess delayed providing food and then pulled away the tray before i finished eating

my original flight was cancelled the previous day, and i was rescheduled onto this flight, which left much earlier in the morning, impacting my previous evening and requiring me to get up much earlier in the morning to get to the airport online. This practice happens way way way too much, and it seems on every airline, though AA is probably the worst.

The flight was on time and the crew very professional. Everything went as expected and I will use BA again for this trip.

We paid to have overhead carry-on baggage. When we got to the gate we were told that our carry on bags would need to be checked and go below because the flight was full. Notably we were nowhere near the last people to board and about 30 other passengers also had to check their carry-on bags. Other than that the flight was fine.

Very bad plain although I paid A business class ticket I was stuck in a stiff fixed seat without any entertainment or Wi Fi for 5 hours I will never ever book a flight on British airline.
