Rodney Bay is situated on the northwest coast of Saint Lucia, which is a small island nation located in the eastern Caribbean just south of Martinique. Rodney Bay is named after George Brydges Rodney, who was a naval officer that led several missions for Great Britain during the 18th Century. The picturesque bay is also known as being the place frequented by pirates centuries ago, and is home to the "Unicorn", which was a ship featured in the well-known film "Pirates of the Caribbean".
Making the most of Rodney Bay Holidays
Although the conditions in Saint Lucia are rather warm and pleasant, there are some things to consider before booking Rodney Bay holidays. The region's driest period typically extends from December through March, and the average temperatures during this time are around 81°F (27°C). During the summer months the temperatures hover around 85°F (29°C).
